Comedy Improv Troupe
🎭 What Is Improv? Improvisation, or improv, is a performance art where most or all of what happens is created in the moment—spontaneously and collaboratively. Unlike scripted performances, improv actors make up scenes, dialogue, and characters on the spot, often based on audience suggestions. Here are the main features of improv:
- No script: Scenes and characters are invented live.
- Collaborative: Players build on each other's ideas swiftly.
- Adaptable and responsive: Shows may adapt to audience prompts or group dynamics.
- Varied formats: Common formats include short-form games (like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”) or long-form narrative scenes.
- Core values: Trust, listening, saying "yes and…" (accepting and building on others' ideas), creativity, and quick thinking.
